Tamarin Speculoos Spread"Sweet with a Touch of Cinnamon" Review
I recently returned from Europe and buying "speculoos" was on the top of my to-do list. I never heard of this before and tried it for the first time: drizzled atop some ice cream, caramelized apples and a crepe and now I am hooked for life. I bought two brands: TAMARIN and LOTUS BISCOFF SPREAD. They are both delicious, but Tamarin's is a hint better - it has less of a chalky texture and is more creamy. If you have no idea what this is, think of it as a spread with a texture similar to Nutela, but instead of a chocolate/hazelbut taste, it is one of graham cracker and cinnamon, but more delicious (look up speculoos on wikipedia).This isn't something to eat all the time as it is a dessert spread. Another reviewer gave this a negative review because it has a lot of sugar in it. Well, its...A DESSERT SPEREAD! Are you going to give apple sauce a bad review because you don't want to eat apples? Aye.
The only COMPLAINT is that the jar I received had an expiration date 4 weeks from when I received it, so it's not a "fresh" jar and required me to make use of it quickly - still good in every way, but just a sign that not enough people know about it.
